'R' Rocky Ranch got it's start in Minnesota with one Rocky in 1998. It has presently grown to a collection of 17 and many additions keep coming. It all started with a Horse Illustrated As our love for this breed grew, the next chapter began. 'R' Rocky Ranch was established in 2001 with the goal of promoting and preserving the original Rocky traits of this unique and gentle breed. We had the opportunity to purchase Diana's Blue Star who has the old bloodlines and is a proven stallion. We don't necessarily breed for the signature chocolate color that is associated with this breed as much as the temperment and gait because you can't ride color! Their gait is completely natural and the foals are born pecking out an even 4 beats. These horses are excellent choices for anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, quiet horse that virtually anyone young or old can ride. All of our horses are imprinted at birth and each horse gets handled daily. NEXT CHAPTER: After much thought, we have re-located to Evans, West Virginia where Fay is currently a stay at home Rocky mom and our horses are still our passion. Feel free to call or e-mail...we are always ready to talk Rocky's and tell people just how wonderful these horses are. We are also available for people to come for a visit (the coffee is always on!) and experience the Rocky Mountain Horse first hand. You truly have to see to believe. Come back often to see what has been updated. Be sure to click on the refresh button so you get the latest updates. YET ANOTHER CHAPTER: Minnesota has called us back!! We are still looking for the perfect property but in the mean time, we are currently located near Maple Lake, Minnesota. We still have some awesome horses available to make your perfect trail partner. Call to see what we have available. FINALLY!! We have found the perfect property and are nearly moved in.
